On July 24, 1982 Gary Gordon Klein and Kirsten Marta Laseke were married at Unity Lutheran Church in Chicago Illinois. After a reception in Chicago and a honeymoon in Lake Geneva Wisconsin we went back to our home south of Chehalis Washington. We also had a reception in Chehalis for our west coast family and friends.

We have come a long way in the past 27 years. We have 3 beautiful daughters (Jenny, Michelle & Laura), 2 handsome son-in-laws (Trevor Williams married to Jenny and Derrick McKay married to Michelle), a grandson (Dayton James McKay) and a granddaughter (Daphne Rose McKay).

Here are some pictures from that great day, and of the reception in Chehalis. Please note that we did not have a professional photographer in Chicago. Also, Greer I am sorry to have used your picture to show the great bridesmaids dresses I got. Why haven't you worn it again??

In Love

Look at all that white.

The prettiest bridesmaid dress ever.

The happy couple.

Perfect for each other.

What a hunk of burning love.

Isn't she ravishing?

You want me to live here???

The question I pose is not would I choose him today, but would he choose me??

Kirsten Aboard the Comfort # 15 : What will you do when you get home?

As the end of the mission is coming fast, I have been asking many of my friends what is the first thing they will do when they get home. Some of them I completely agree with!! I am not posting who said what because there are a couple of surprises in them. Some of the answers come from people that will be here the entire 4 months. Some will only be here a few weeks. Either way, we all miss our family, friends, and the comforts of home.

"Get dressed up, fix my hair and go out to dinner"

"Eat a medium-rare steak"

"Sleep" (The most common answer)

"Go on a bike ride"

"I am going to surprise my mom with a visit"

"Give my wife a big hug"

"Go and visit my grandchildren" (No, Michelle, that was not me)

"I have to be at work the morning after I get home"

"Spend the day with my kids"

"Take a shower without any shoes on"

"Soak in the bathtub for an hour"

"Get the dog toys and take my dog to the park"

"I have to be at work the next morning"

"I am heading to San Diego to get on another ship"
